Mr. Magruder proposed the following amendment:
Strike out the 2d section of article 8.

Mr. Landing called the previous question on the amend-
ment, which call was sustained;                             

The question then being, "shall the main question be now
put?"

termined in the affirmative

Mr. Makubin proposed the following amendment:
Add at the end of section 2,

"Provided that nothing in this act contained shall apply
to primary schools in Anne Arundel, St. Mary's, Prince
Georges, Talbot, Charles, Frederick, Baltimore and Queen
Anne's counties:

Mr. Rogers moved to lay said amendment on the table;
