Which was referred to the Frederick county delegation.
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the day,

The House took up for consideration, the bill entitled, an
act making appropriations for the support of the Government
for the year ending the 1st day of January, 1859.

The said bill being upon its second reading,

Mr. Welling proposed the following amendment:

Strike out in 38th line of 1st section, "one thousand seven

hundred dollars," and insert "twenty-two hundred dollars."
The yeas and nays being demanded upon the amendment,
