Negative.—None.

 

Mr. Grieves, from the select committee, appointed to wait on
the Governor elect, reported that the committee had performed
their duty, and that a message from the Senate would announce
to the house the time when the ceremony of inauguration would
take place.

Mr. Grieves, offered the following order:

Ordered, That the Adjutant General be requested to direct the
national flag to be raised on the steeple of the State House, and
the usual salute fired at the hour of Inaugurating the Honorable
Thomas Holliday Hicks, as Governor of the State;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Schnebly, reported a bill entitled, "an act," relating to
the banks of this State;

Which was read the first time and referred to the committee
on currency.

Mr. Kimmel, on the part of the Honorable Senate, appeared in
the House, and announced that the oaths of office were about to
be administered to the Governor elect, and invited the attendance
of the House of Delegates.

The members proceeded in a body to the Senate chamber, and
after the ceremonies of inauguration had been concluded, return-
ed to their Hall.

On motion of Mr. Harrington,

The House adjourned till to-morrow at eleven o'clock,
