their respective offices in the years 1852 and 1853 ;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Claims ;

Also returned the bill entitled, an act to prescribe the
duties, and fix the compensation, of the Sheriff of Charles
county, in certain cases, therein mentioned ;

Mr. Sudler, of the majority of the committee on the Contin-
gent Fund, presented a report in relation to the expenditures
of the Executive Contingent Fund.                               

Mr. Contee, of the minority of said committee, presented a
report in reference to the same subject;
