REPORT:
A majority of the committee on Inspections, to which was
referred the expediency of changing the inspection laws, beg
leave to report that they have had under consideration, and
have given particular attention, to the most prominent
facts thereof, do unhesitatingly say that it would he inexpe-
dient and impolitic to make any changes in the present laws
regulating inspections in the city of Baltimore.

Mr. Forrest, from the minority of the committee on Inspections,
reported favorably on a bill entitled, an act to regulate in-
spections in the city of Baltimore;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Belt, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the Senate bill, entitled, an act, amendatory of an act,
passed January session, 1854, chapter 179, entitled, an act
for the relief of Robert Wright and sureties, former collector
of the first collection district of Prince George's county.
Mr. Sudler, of Queen Anne's county, from a select commit-
tee, reported favorably on the bill, entitled, an act, amenda-
datory to the act of 1802, chapter 81, to procure the more
general diffusion of information, respecting the proceedings
of the county commissioners of Queen Anne's county;

Mr. McKinstry, from a select committee, reported favor-
ably on the Senate bill, entitled an act for the better regula-
tion of Primary Schools, in Carroll county.
Mr. Reindollar, from a select committee, reported favor-
ably on the bill, entitled, an act to incorporate certain per-
sons as trustees of the United Brethren in Christ church, in
Carroll county, to be called the Mount Pleasant church.

Mr. McKinstry, from a select committee, reported favor-
ably on the Senate bill, entitled an act, to amend an act, to
lay out and establish a new election district in Carroll county,
to be called district number eleven, or New Windsor district,
passed at January session, 1856, chapter 240.
Mr. Thomas, from the committee on Pensions, reported fa-
vorably on the bill, entitled, a supplement to the act of 1856,
chapter 77, allowing a pension to Joseph Benson, a private in
the war of the Revolution.
