qualify according to the Constitution and form of Government of
this State, and concur therein. We have appointed Messrs. Kim-
mel and Miles, on the part of the Senate to unite with the gentle-
men appointed by your Honorable Body.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by Rev. Mr.
Veitch.

Present at the call of the roll, the following members :

timore county, Goldsborough, Waller, Moore, Sudler, of Som-

Belt, Wyville, Contee, Larrimore, Sudler, of Queen Anne's,
Landing, Spence, Hearn, Thomas, Harding, Bowlus, Root,
Koons, Hobbs, Hanway, Bacon, Baker, McGonigal, Stirling,
Rogers, McPherson, Smith, of Balt. city, Kennard, Lynch, of
Balt. city, Harrington, Crowley, Forrest, Alexander, Rohrer, Sum-
mers, Gray, Schnebly, Mountz, McKinstry, Reindollar, Day,
Welling and Dorsey.

The proceedings of yesterday were read.

The Speaker announced the following standing committees :

Committee on Elections.—Messrs. Rodgers, Todd, Bowlus,
Larrimore, Rohrer, Morgan and Waller.

Committee on Ways and Means.—Messrs. Stirling, Dail, Mc-
Pherson, Goldsborough, Ford, of Cecil, Welling, Ford, of Bal-
timore county, Stonestreet and Summers.

Committee on Claims.—Messrs. Dail, Griffiss, Barnard, Davis,
Belt, Baker and Schnebly.
