Which was referred to the Worcester county delegation.

Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city, presented a petition from
shippers and dealers of flour in the city of Baltimore, praying
for certain penalties in regard to flour inspections;

Which was referred to the committee on Inspections.

Mr. Worthington presented a petition from sixty-three
voters of Montgomery county, praying for the enactment of a
law providing for the sale of free negroes or mulattoes for the
payment of debts contracted by them;

Which was referred to the committee on Colored Population.

Mr. Day presented a petition from seventy-one subscribers,
praying for the opening of a road from Blakely's Mill in How-
ard county, to Baker's Shop in Carroll county ;

Which was referred to the Carroll and Howard county de-
legations.

Mr. Ford, of Baltimore county, presented a petition from
D. S. Merceron and fifty-five other citizens of Baltimore coun-
ty, praying for the passage of the Green Spring Avenue
Charter;

Which was ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Rogers presented the memorial from Joseph Simmes
and others members of the City Council of Baltimore city, in
relation to an act proposing to incorporate the Green Spring
Avenue Company ;

Which was ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Rogers presented the memorial of John S. A. Smith,
of Baltimore county, in relation to an act proposing to char-
ter the Green Spring Avenue Company;

Which was ordered to lie on the table.

Mr. Worthington presented a petition from ninety voters of
Montgomery county, praying for the passage of a law for the
protection of birds in said county;

Which was referred to the Montgomery county delegation.

Mr. Harrington presented a petition for a change in the
inspection laws, to authorise the Governor to appoint the in-
spectors;

Which was referred to the committee on Inspections.

Mr. Walker presented a petition from Thomas H. Mory,
Abijah Johnson, Wm. Dorney and thirty-one citizens of Bal-
timore county, asking for a law for the protection of birds;

Which was referred to the committee on Agriculture.

Mr. Worthington presented a petition from twenty-five
citizens of Montgomery county, praying for the passage of a
law for the protection of birds in said county,
