380              JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 15,

one hundred and fifty-seven citizens of Baltimore city, pray-
ing for a prohibitory liquor law ;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.
Mr. Kilgour offered the following order :

Ordered, That the pages be instructed to place before the
House, no communication appearing over the signature of
Andrew B. Cross, unless first examined by a select committee,
appointed by the Speaker ;
