Reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to make valid
a deed from Edwin R. Carvill;

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act further to provide for
carrying into effect the 22d section of 4th article of the consti-
tution, so far as relates to the Courts of Equity in the city of
Baltimore;

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act for the relief of the
heirs and personal representatives of Joshua M. Turner, late
of Baltimore city, deceased;

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act to permit Minerva
Barnes, a free woman of color, of Allegany county, Mary-
land, to remain in the State, and to relieve her from all pen-
alties incurred by her removal into the State;

Which was read the first time; also,

Favorably on a bill entitled, an act for the relief of Anna
Eloisa Jones and Marie Susannah Jones, of Queen Anne's
county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Wickes, from a select committee, reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act to authorise the County Commis-
sioners of Kent and Queen Anne's counties, to contract for
the free passage of the citizens of said counties, over Chester
river bridge, at Chestertown;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Thomas, from a select committee, reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act to grant the leave of the Legis-
lature to a bequest made in the last will and testament
of Elizabeth C. Wootten, late of Frederick county, deceased,
to the vestry of Zion Parish, in said county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Thomas, from the select committee, reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act to authorise James Spencer, a free
negro of Frederick county, to dispose of his real and personal
estate, by last will and testament;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Alexander, from the committee on Judiciary, reported
back a bill entitled, an act to defray the expense of publica-
tion made under and by virtue of the act of Assembly of
1856, chapter 16.
