The said bill was then sent to the Senate.
The bill entitled, an act to provide for and regulate the Re-
gistration of Births, Marriages and Deaths in this State ;
Was read the second time, as amended, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
The House took up for consideration the bill entitled, an
act for the establishment of a Normal, or Training School for
Teachers, and an office in connection therewith for the collec-
tion and dissemination of information on the subject of educa-
tion, at St. John's College, in the city of Annapolis ;
Mr. Landing moved to strike out the enacting clause of
said bill;
Mr. Thruston called for the previous question on the motion
of Mr. Landing;
