Leave was granted to the committee on Inspections to introduce
a bill providing for the appointment of an Inspector of Lime.

Referred to committee on Inspections;

Leave was granted to Mr. Rogers to introduce a bill to amend
an act incorporating the Maryland Institute for the promotion of
the mechanic arts passed January, session 1849;

Referred to committee on Corporations.

Leave was granted to Mr. Goldsborough, to introduce a bill to
erect a bridge over the waters of Miles river in Talbot county;

Referred to Talbot county delegation.

Leave was granted to Mr. Bacon to introduce a bill to granting
to the Commissioners of the town of Havre De Grace in Harford
county, more ample powers in the abatement of nuisances in
said town;

Referred to the committee on Judiciary hereafter to be ap-
pointed.

Leave was granted to Mr. Magruder to introduce a bill to make
general provision by which the names of individuals may be
changed without the action of the Legislature;

Referred to the committee on Judiciary hereafter to be ap-
pointed.

Leave was granted to Mr. Kidd to introduce a bill to make
valid a deed from Benjamin Chandler and wife, to Richard L.
Thomas.

Referred to the committee on Judiciary hereafter to be ap-
pointed.

Leave was granted to Mr. Thruston to bring in a bill to ratify
and make valid the survey of the taxable limits of the city of
Cumberland as adopted by the Mayor and Councilmen of said
city, on the fourth day of January 1858.

Referred to the Allegany county delegation.

Leave was granted to Mr. Landing to bring in a bill to author-
ize the clerk of the Circuit Court of Worcester county to have
certain books of records in his office repaired.

Referred to the Worcester county delegation.

Leave was granted to Mr. Alexander to bring in a bill to re-
model the Inspection Laws of this State.

Which was referred to committee on Judiciary, hereafter to be
appointed.

Leave was granted to Mr. Harrington to introduce a bill for
the regulation of the Inspection of lumber and timber in the city
