requested to transmit to our Senators and Representatives in
Congress a copy of these Resolutions and of the Preamble,
thereto;

Which were read.

On motion of Mr. Hobbs,

Leave was granted to the Frederick county delegation,
to introduce a bill giving to the Trustees of each school dis-
trict in Frederick county, plenary powers over the school
house in their respective districts, subject to the control of a
majority of the legal voters of each said district.

On motion of Mr. Magruder,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill for the amendment of the law in mandamus
cases.

On motion of Mr. Welling,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary to bring
in a bill to authorise the vestry of Christ's Church, Queen
Caroline Parish, in Howard county, to hold thirty two acres
of land.

On motion of Mr. Smith, of Baltimore city,

Leave was granted to the committee on Ways and Means,
to introduce a bill entitled, an act to regulate and restrict the
granting of licences to retail intoxicating liquors in the city
of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Alexander,

Leave was granted to the committee on Judiciary, to bring
in a bill to make valid deeds and other instruments of writ-
ing for the conveyance of lands which are defectively execu-
ted or acknowledged.

On motion of Mr. Root,

Leave was granted to the Frederick county delegation, to
introduce a bill authorising the County Commissioners of
Frederick county to remove from the assessment of said coun-
ty, two absconding negro men, slaves for life, now assessed to
Abdiel Unkefer.

On motion of Mr. Burgess,

Leave was granted to the Prince George's and Charles
county delegations, to introduce a bill to prevent free negroes,
or slaves, from having and using boats on the Potomac river
in Charles and Prince George's counties.

On motion of Mr. Burgess,

Leave was granted to the Charles county delegation, to
bring in a bill for the relief of Marcus A. Moore, of Charles
county.
