to the election of a Keeper of the Records of the Court of
Chancery, We have nominated on the part of the Senate
Lemuel Jones and Louis Gassaway.

We also concur in your proposition to proceed to the elec-
tion of two directors on the part of the State in the Easton
Bank of Maryland. We have nominated on the part of the
Senate Messrs. E. C. Holliday, W. T. G. Polk, Purnell,
Toadvine and John H. Harris.

We also concur in your proposition to proceed to the elec-
tion of two directors on the part of the State in the Mechanics
Bank of Baltimore.

We have nominated on the part of the part of the Senate
Jas. H. Luckett, Wm. H. Norris, Truman Belt, and Samuel
Duer.

We also concur in the proposition of your honorable body
to proceed to the election of two directors on the part of the
State in the Hagerstown Bank. We have nominated on the
part of the Senate, Messrs. Frederick D. Herbert, Thomas
G. Robertson, Thomas Harbine and Dr. Chas. McGill.

We also concur in your proposition to elect one direc-
tor on the part of the State in the Farmers Bank of Mary-
land, and we have nominated on the part of the Senate
Messrs. Rignal D. Woodward and Jonathan Pinkney.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
McCullough and Gardiner, tellers to act with the gentlemen
named by your honorable body to count the ballots in the
above elections and announce the result.

Which was read.

The House resumed the consideration of the bill relating to
births, marriages and deaths; and

On motion of Mr. Mackubin,

Said bill was made the order of the day for Wednesday
February 10th.

The bill entitled, an act to facilitate the collection of debts
in suits instituted on the Superior Court of Baltimore city, and
in the Court of Common Pleas for Baltimore city;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an act to make general provision by which
the names of individuals may be changed without the action
of the Legislature;
