Tongue, Mackubin, Kilbourn, Magruder, Stonestreet, Walker,
Ford, of Baltimore county, Lynch, of Baltimore county,
Smith, of Baltimore county, Clarke, Goldsborough, Waller,
Sudler, of Somerset, Tilghman, Dail, Richardson, Grieves,
Davis, Ford, of Cecil, Belt, Wyville, Contee, Larrimore,
Sudler, of Queen Anne's, Landing, Spence, Hearn, Thomas,
Harding, Bowlus, Hanway, McGonigal, Rogers, McPherson,
Smith, of Baltimore city, Kennard, Lynch, of Baltimore city,
Harrington, Crowley, Forrest, Alexander, Rohrer, Summers,
Gray, Schnebly, Worthington, Thruston, Barnard, McKinstry,
Reindollar, Day, Welling and Dorsey.

The proceedings of yesterday were read.

Mr. Crowley presented a petition from Eliza Herring, Ex-
ecutrix of William H. Herring, deceased, to refund certain
moneys paid into the State Treasury by William H. Herring,
deceased;

Which was referred to the committee on Claims.

Mr. Dail presented a petition from sundry citizens of Dor-
chester county, praying for the repeal of the act passed at the
January session, 1852, chapter 340, or so much as exempts
from attachment of wages or hire of any laborer or other em-
ployee, when such wages shall not exceed ten dollars ;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Harrington presented a petition from the Newton
University, asking an alteration of their charter ;

Which was referred to the committee on Corporations.

Mr. Harrington presented a petition from sundry mechanics
of Baltimore for the extension of the Lien Laws ;

Which was referred to the committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Belt presented a memorial from the children and heirs
at law, of Mrs. Barbara Reily, widow of the late Major Wil-
liam Reily, praying for the pension due their mother at the
time of her decease, under the resolution of 25th March, 1779 ;

Which was referred to the committee on Claims.

Mr. Stonestreet presented a petition from Marcus A. Moore,
for balances due him as school teacher, in Charles county ;

Which was referred to the Charles county delegation.

Mr. Stonestreet presented a petition from Robert Digges,
and others, for remuneration for a negro slave sentenced to
the Penitentiary by the Circuit Court for Charles county ;

Which was referred to the Charles county delegation.
