to make a turnpike road in Washington county, and known
as the "Hagerstown and Middleburg Turnpike Company."

On motion of Mr. Summers,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation,
to introduce a bill entitled, a supplement to an act passed De-
cember session 1849, entitled an act to incorporate a company
to make a turnpike road in Washington county, and known
as the Hagerstown and Marsh road Turnpike Company.

On motion of Mr. Smith, of Baltimore county,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation,
to introduce a bill for the more speedy collection of taxes
in Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Morgan,

Leave was granted to the St. Mary's county delegation, to
bring in a bill to incorporate the Village of Leonardtown in
St. Mary's county.

On motion of Mr. Harrington,

Leave was granted to the committee on Corporations, to in-
troduce a bill in relation to capitation tax on a part of the
main stem of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, lying between
the city of Baltimore and Relay House.

On motion of Mr. Harrington,

Leave was granted to the committee on Corporations, to in-
troduce a bill to alter the name of the Baltimore Lime
Company, to the Baltimore Lime and Marble Company.

On motion of Mr. Todd,

Leave was granted to the committee on Corporations, to in-
troduce a bill to limit the jurisdiction of the town bailiff of
Denton, to the town of Denton.

On motion of Mr. McPherson,

Leave was granted to the committee on Ways and Means,
to bring in a bill appropriating a sum of money to pay ex-
penses incident to the carrying out the provisions of the act of
1856, requiring the publication of officers in default to the
State.

On motion of Mr. Hearn,

Leave was granted to the committee on Claims, to intro-
duce a bill to refund to Walter P. Snow, administrator of
Edward D. Martin, late clerk of the Circuit Court for Wor-
cester county, and to George B. Gray, late Register of Wills
for the same county, certain sums of money erroneously paid
into the Treasury.
