Section 5.10. Jurisdiction.

The District Court shall have the original

such Court (which may be made exclusive


as to any class or classes of civil cases in


such county, or any part thereof, city or


town) and the right of appeal there-

Sec. 41C(c) . . . [Municipal Court in


Baltimore City] The jurisdiction of said


Court shall consist originally of the juris-


diction vested on the day immediately


preceding the first Monday of May, 1961,


in the Justices of the Peace of Baltimore


City, including the Police Magistrates, the


Chief Police Magistrate of Baltimore City,


the Magistrates-at-Large of Baltimore City,


and the Traffic Court of Baltimore City,


and thereafter shall consist of such greater


or lesser jurisdiction (which may be made


exclusive as to any class or classes of


cases), with such right of appeal therefrom,


as the General Assembly shall prescribe


from time to time by Law.......


(e) After the day immediately preceding


the first Monday in May, 1961, no Justice


of the Peace of Baltimore City, including


the Police Magistrates of Baltimore City, the


Chief Police Magistrate of Baltimore City,


the Magistrates-at-Large for Baltimore City.


the Magistrates of the Traffic Court of


Baltimore City, and the Chief Magistrate of


the Traffic Court of Baltimore City, shall


exercise any of the jurisdiction, or have any


of the powers or duties conferred on the


Court herein created.
