Mr. Ford proposed the following amendment;

After the word "dollars," in the second line of the section
on Judiciary, add the following:                                     

"And to the Chief Judge, as such, of the Court of Appeals,
as per act of 1834, chapter 220, three thousand dollars, for
his term of service, ending in the year 1861;

person employed by the clerk of the Court of Appeals for
keeping the court room clean, the sum of five dollars per
month, sixty dollars;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Linthicum proposed the following:

Under the head of "Miscellaneous," after the word
"house," in the 8th line, insert "three hundred and sixty-five
dollars," and for salary for an assistant "two hundred and
seventy-five dollars."

Mr. Morgan proposed the following substitute:

Under the head of "Miscellaneous," for salary of the per-
son to attend to the heating of the State House, forty-two
dollars per month, and to his assistant thirty-one dollars per
month;                                                             

Which substitute was lost.
