On motion of Mr. Denison, of Baltimore county,

The House took up for consideration the majority report
and resolutions in the case of R. J. Kerr vs. Thomas B.
Gaither.

Mr. Denison, of Baltimore county, moved a call of the
House;

Upon the call of the roll,
On motion of Mr. Denison, of Baltimore county,

All further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
The question then being upon the report and resolutions in
the case of R. J. Kerr vs. Thomas B. Gaither;

They were adopted by yeas and nays as follow:

The following message was received from His Excellency,
the Governor:

Executive Chamber,

Annapolis, March 10, 1860.
To the General Assembly of Maryland:

Gentlemen: I have received from a joint committee of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, an address to the Go-
vernor, concurred in by two-thirds of each House, requesting
me "to remove Henry Stump from the office of Judge of the
Criminal Court of Baltimore."

I find myself compelled to accede to this request; and I
now inform the General Assembly that, in pursuance of their
