The late acting delegation from Baltimore city left the hall
of the House.
Mr. Dennis, of Somerset, offered the following :
March 10, 1860.
This House having refused, by a vote of the majority of the
members thereof, to permit the testimony taken in the con-
tested election cases from Baltimore city to be read, in viola-
tion, as they believe, of a solemn rule of this House, and
having proceeded to vote upon and determine said cases, the
undersigned refuse to vote, and ask that this protest be en-
tered on the Journal.
