EVENING SESSION, 7½ o'clock.
The House met pursuant to adjournment.
Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Messrs. Kilbourn, Speaker, Durant, Morgan, Medders,
Briscoe, Burgess, Ford, Worthington, Quinlan, Renshaw,
Jones, of Talbot, Holland, Wilson, of Cecil, Maxwell, Mil-
ler, Bryan, Jones, of P. G., Claggett, Routzahn, Wilson, of
Har., Bayless, McCoy, Straughn, Krafft, Booze, Crowley,
McAllister, Turner of Baltimore city, Denison, of Balt. city,
Coudy, Eakle, Brining, Stake, Griffith, Gordon, Beall, Mc-
Cleary, Roop, and Gorsuch.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills
severally endorsed "passed by yeas and nays:"

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Allegany Land
Improvement company;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Allega-
ny county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to exempt certain property of the
Protestant Episcopal Church in the town of Hillsborough, in
Caroline county, from taxation;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Caroline
county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to prevent the selling or peddling of
carriages, hacks, gigs, and buggy wagons in Frederick and
Washington counties not manufactured in the State of Mary-
land;

Which was read the first time, and referred to Frederick
county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to pay William J. Roberts a sum of
money for services rendered by him in cleaning and putting
in order the arms in the State Armory at Easton;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Claims.

A bill entitled, an act to amend the 20th article of the code
of public local laws relating to Talbot county, by adding
thereto the following section to punish shooting near the
Miles river bridge in said county;
