Mr. Mackubin, from the committee on Claims, reported
Senate bill entitled, an act to refund Philip T. Tyson certain
moneys paid by him for the use and benefit of the State;

Also, the bill entitled, an act to allow Richard B. Car-
michael compensation for professional services;

Which were severally recommended to be referred to the
next General Assembly of Maryland;

The Report was adopted and the said bills were referred to
the next General Assembly of Maryland.

The hour of two o'clock having arrived, the House went
into an election for Tobacco Commissioners:

Mr. Briscoe nominated James G. Alnutt, of Calvert county;

Mr. Turner, of Howard, nominated David Clark, of How-
ard county;

Mr. Welch nominated Benjamin Tongue, of Anne Arundel
county;

Mr. Harding nominated John W. Jenkins, of Charles
county;

Mr. Compton nominated George W. Morgan, of St. Mary's
county;                                                                             

Mr. Mills nominated William H. Harden, of Carroll
county.
