Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message proposing to go into the
election of three tobacco commissioners, provided for by an
act just passed, at 2 o'clock, P. M., this day, and concur
therein.

We have appointed Messrs. Briscoe and Dennis of Somer-
set to unite with the gentlemen designated by the Senate to
carry into effect the object of this message.
