Mr. Morgan proposed the following amendment:

"And be it enacted. That in no case shall it he lawful to use
said railroad cars for the accommodation of passengers on the
Sabbath day, under the penalty of fifty dollars for each car
so run on the Sabbath day, to be collected as other fines are
collected ;''
