In section 2, 6th line, strike out all after the word "con-
tained," to the word "thereof," in 7th line, inclusive, and
insert: "including the provisions of the 7th section of said
ordinance in reference to the opening of books to receive sub-
scriptions to the capital stock of said corporation, except as
hereinafter provided;"

So the amendment was lost.

Mr. Morgan proposed the following amendment:

Sections to be added after section 2d in printed bill.

"Section 3. And be it enacted, That the corporation hereby
created be and they are hereby required to pay over to the
register of the city of Baltimore, to be used and applied to
the uses and purposes us recited in the ordinances of the
mayor and city council of Baltimore, approved March 28th,
1859, the one-fifth portion of the whole passenger receipts of
this corporation, and on failure so to do, according to the let-
ter of said ordinance, this corporation shall be liable to the
