The bill entitled, an act to to authorise the trustees of the
Garrison Forest Academy, in Baltimore county, to convey a
certain lot of land to the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal
Church in said county;

The rules were suspended, and the bill entitled, an act to
prohibit any free negro in Worcester county going to Balti-
more city or to other States, and also to prohibit free negroes
from other States to come into said county;

Which was read the first time.

The bill entitled, an act appropriating a sum money for the
payment of the claims of Dennis H. Maynard, Thomas J.
Keating, Joseph H. Skinner, John Schofield, S. E. Sullivan.
Edwin W. Duvall, M. J. Worthington, George Dutton,
Samuel S. Riley, N. Brewer, the Annapolis Gas Light com-
pany, Thomas Ireland and George Jacobi;
