The rules were suspended, and the House took up for con-
sideration the bill entitled, an act to amend the 71st section
of article 33d of the code of public general laws relating to
the indigent blind, and to make additional provision for their
instruction;

Said bill being on its second reading,

Mr. Maxwell proposed the following amendment:

Section 2nd. In line 5th strike out the word "six," and
insert "ten;"
