Mr. Ford presented a petition from eight hundred citizens
of Baltimore city and county, praying the passage of a bill
to restrain the sale of fresh meats and vegetables in the city
of Baltimore, except in the markets of said city;

Referred to the committee on Corporations.

Mr. Wilson, of Harford, presented a petition from Ramsey
McHenry, for arms for a volunteer company in Harford
county;

Referred to the committee on the Militia.

Mr. Denison, of Baltimore city, presented a memorial from
Charles Alexander and Edward J. Peters, justices of the
peace of the tenth ward of the city of Baltimore;

Referred to the Baltimore city delegation.

Mr. Salmon presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Frederick county, against the hills before the House relating
to the free colored population;

Referred to the committee on Colored Population.

Mr. Miller presented a petition from David Staats, and
sundry other citizens of Cecil county, relating to a bridge in
said county;

Referred to the Cecil county delegation.

Mr. Krafft presented a petition from Robert A. Taylor,
Charles F. Mayer and others, relative to the free colored pop-
ulation;

Referred to the committee on Colored Population.
Mr. Morgan offered the following:

Ordered, That the bill reported by the special committee,
appointed to inquire into certain charges of discrimination
made against the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad company be
referred to the committee on Internal Improvements, in ac-
cordance with an order of this House, adopted January 27th,
and to be found on pages 174 and 175 of the Journal;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Kessler offered the following:

Ordered, That the Committee on Ways and Means report
by Monday to this House the amount in the Treasury, and
its available resources to meet appropriations and the State's
interest;

On motion of Mr. Long,
