The till entitled, an act to authorise the Governor and Ad-
jutant General to purchase arms for the use of the State;
Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays ;"

Also, delivered the following Senate bill:

A bill entitled, an act to amend the 28th article of the code
of public general laws, relating to county commissioners, by
adding thereto the following section, giving power to the
county commissioners to reduce assessments;
Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays ;"

Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Linthicum, from a select committee, reported favorably
on the Senate bill entitled, an act to amend the 32d and 33d
sections of the 10th article of the code of public local laws,
relating to the town of Cambridge, in Dorchester county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Legg, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act for the benefit of James T. Perkins,
late sheriff of Queen Anne's county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Naill, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act to prohibit the sale of intoxicating
liquors within three miles of Mount St. Mary's College, ex-
clusive of the limits of any incorporated town;

Also, on the bill entitled, an act to add the following sec-
tions, relating to minors, to article 6 of the code of public
general laws;

Which were severally read the first time.

Mr. Harding, from a select committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act for the relief of John Honesty, a
free negro man, of London county, State of Virginia;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Salmon, from a select committee, reported unfavorably
on the bill entitled, an act to to authorise the citizens of Ur-
bana district, in Frederick county, to erect a gate at or near
Doyle's water station, on the Baltimore and Ohio Rail-
road.

Mr. Mackubin, from a select committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act to amend the second article of the
code of public local laws, by giving additional powers to the
corporation of the city of Annapolis;
