The bill entitled, an act to amend the 12th section of arti-
cle 38 of the code of public general laws, relating to the fees
of officers;
Being upon its second reading;
Mr. McAllister proposed the following amendment:
Strike out 'thirty-three," in line 4, section 1, and insert
"fifty,"
Which was adopted.
Mr. Gordon proposed the following amendment:
"Section 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take ef-
fect from the date of its passage;"
Which was adopted.
