Which was read the first time, and referred to the Talbot
county delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to repeal the 17th, 19th, 26th,
27th, 28th and 30th sections of the 53rd article of the public
general code :"                                                           

Endorsed: "passed by yeas and nays;"

Which was read the first time, and referred to Messrs. Du-
rant, Coudy and Jones, of Prince George's county.

On motion of Mr. Stanford,

Leave was granted the committee on Inspections to intro-
duce a bill regulating the inspection and measurement of
grain in the city of Baltimore.

Mr. Berry, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed therein men-
tioned ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Landing reported favorably upon the bill entitled, an
act to repeal the 67th section of article 30, of the public gen-
eral laws, relating to gunning, so far as the same relates to
Worcester county ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Naill, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act to establish a new election district in
Frederick county, out of part of the eighth district of said
county ;

Which was read the first time.

The Senate bill entitled, an act to renew and continue in
force an act entitled, an act to incorporate the Maryland and
Virginia Steam Packet company, passed December session,
1847, chapter 112.

Was read the second time, and by special order a third
time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
