to construct a turnpike road from Hagerstown to Cearfoss
Cross Roads, in Washington county ;"

chapter 50, entitled, an act amendatory of an act entitled,
an act to incorporate the Maryland and Delaware Rail Road
company, passed at January session, 1854, chap. 274, grant-
ing extensions of said railroad and other privileges ;"

Also, on Senate bill entitled, "an act to incorporate the
Western Avenue company;"

Also, on Senate bill entitled, "an act to incorporate the
State Bank."

Mr. Goldsborough, from a special committee, reported fa-
vorably on the bill entitled, "an act to add an additional sec-
tion to article thirty-seven of the code of public general laws,
so as not to compel a regularly practising physician to attend
the trial of a cause, civil or criminal, out of his or their coun-
ty, or the city of Baltimore, to give evidence merely as an
expert;"

Mr. Griffith, from a select committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, "an act to allow Geo. W. Chiswell, late
collector of taxes in the third election district of Montgomery
county, further time to complete his collections ;"

on the bill entitled, "an act to provide for the copying or
transcribing a record in the office of the register of wills in
Montgomery county ;"
