The House met pursuant to adjournment. Present the
same members as yesterday.

Messrs. C. W. Jacobs, of Worcester, and Ethan A. Jones,
of Prince George's, appeared in the House and took their
seats.

On motion of Mr. Harding,
The House proceeded to the election of a Speaker.

Mr. Long, of Somerset, nominated E. G. Kilbourn, Esq.

Mr. Bayless nominated D. W. Naill, Esq.

The Chair appointed Messrs. Harding and Kraft tellers.
