On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,
Leave was granted the committee on Claims to report a
bill to pay J. Hopkins Tarr, former State's Attorney of Car-
oline county, certain fees.
On motion of Mr. Brining,
Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill for the protection of creditors, against married
women holding property in their own rights.
Mr. Bryan offered the following:
Ordered, That the chairman of each standing committee
be required to place at some conspicuous point in the adjoin-
ing committee room, each day, a written notice of the time
and place of meeting of their respective committees.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Mackubin, from the committee on Claims, reported
favorably on a bill entitled, an act to compensate James T.
McCullough, for legal services rendered the State, by authori-
ty of the Governor.
