the special committee on Fish and Oysters, be withdrawn
from said committee, and referred to the said Cecil, Kent and
Harford delegations.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Miller, and seconded by two others who
voted in the affirmative, the vote by which the order to affix
the per diem of the stenographer for the committee on Elec-
tions was laid on the table was reconsidered;

The question then recurring upon the order,

Mr. Landing proposed to amend by striking out "twenty,"
and inserting "five dollars."

Mr. Jones, of Prince George's county, proposed an amend-
ment to the amendment, by striking out "twenty" and insert-
ing "fifteen" dollars.

Which was lost.

The question then recurring on the amendment, it was
not concurred in.

The question then being upon the adoption of the original
order;

On motion of Mr. Freaner,
The order was withdrawn.
Mr. Chaplain offered the following:

Ordered, That the stenographer employed by the commit-
tee on Elections be allowed a sum not exceeding twenty dol-
lars per diem for every day the said stenographer may be en-
gaged in serving said committee.

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follow:
