38              JOURNAL OP PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 10,

On motion of Mr. Mackubin,

Leave was granted the committee on claims to bring in
a bill to refund to Mrs. Susan Boyle, of Annapolis, taxes
erroneously paid by her into the Treasury.

Mr. McAllister presented a petition from Thomas Godey,
for payment of bill for furnishing Speaker's desk.

On motion of Mr. Krafft,

Leave was granted the committee on Judiciary to introduce
a bill entitled, an act to carry into effect the will of William
Brown, deceased, of the city of Baltimore.

Mr. Eakle presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Washington county, praying an alteration in the attach-
ment laws.

On motion of Mr. Burgess,

Leave was granted the committee on Inspections to bring
in a bill to modify and amend the act passed at the session
of 1859, chapter 301, in relation to the inspection of grain
in the city of Baltimore.

The Speaker presented the following:

To the Hon. Speaker of the House of Delegates:

Sir :—In compliance with the 4th section of the 6th arti-
cle of the Constitution, I herewith submit copies of all the
accounts I have rendered and settled with the Comptroller
since my last report.

Mr. Briscoe presented the report of the Adjutant General;
Referred to committee on Militia.

The Speaker presented the report of the State Agricultural
Chemist;

Which was received.

Mr. Morgan ottered the following :

Ordered, That five thousand copies of the report of the
State Agricultural Chemist, be printed by the printer hereafter
to be elected, for the use of the members of this House.
