On motion of Mr. Krafft,

Leave was granted the committee on Militia to introduce a

bill entitled, an act giving the Junior Artillery Company,

of Baltimore, authority to receive contributing or honorary

members.

On motion of Mr. Brining,
Leave was granted to introduce a. bill to make valid a deed

given by Joseph Baker and others, to Samuel Baker and Ezra
Baker.

On motion of Mr. Landing,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to report
a bill making valid a deed from Benjamin Blades, agent to
Wm. H. Sterling and wife, to Elisha Jones.

On motion of Mr. Landing,

Leave was granted the Worcester county delegation to re-
port a bill to make valid a deed from Jane M. Jones and
Henrietta Pilchard to Major T. Hall.

Mr. Coudy offered the following:

Ordered, That the Librarian be authorized to furnish each
member and each officer of this House, a pen knife.
Which was adopted.

Mr. Morgan presented a memorial of the Maryland State
Agricultural Society to the Legislature of Maryland, asking
for aid in support of it exhibitions.           

On motion of Mr. Renshaw,

Leave was granted to report a bill in favor of Barbara Gist,
legatee of George Storm, deceased, praying the passage of an
act, changing her estate in certain property from a life in-
terest to a fee simple title.

On motion of Mr. Denison, of Baltimore city,

Leave was granted the committee on Claims to report a bill
for the payment of the sum of forty-eight dollars and seventy-
five cents, to Henry P. Horton for the repair of fire appara-
tus and hose, under the resolution of the House of Delegates,
&c.

On motion of Mr. Miller,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to report
a bill to make valid a deed from Jos. Whitaker and others, to
Alex. Wilson.

Also, a bill to make valid a deed from Catharine A. Wilson
to Alex. Wilson.
