Baltimore county, Hunter, Stanford, Lawson, Linthicum,
Keene, Starkey, Routzahn, Naill, Krafft, Wisong, Crowley,
Smith, Denison, of Baltimore city, Coudy, Eakle, Freaner,
Stake, Harding, Mills and Brown.

Mr. Ford moved that the Doorkeeper be sent after the
absent members;

Mr. Goldsborough proposed as a substitute, that the Ser-
geant-at-Arms be sent after the absent members;

Which was adopted,                                                               

And the Sergeant-at-Arms sent after the absent members.
The Sergeant-at-Arms having returned, reported that he

had notified the absent members now in the city, and that

they were in attendance.

On motion of Mr. Ford,

All further proceedings under the call were dispensed
with.

The House then proceeded to the election of a Keeper of
the Chancery Records.

Upon the call of the roll it appeared that fifty members had
voted.

The ballot box was then sealed and delivered by the Speak-
er into the hands of Messrs. Welch and Dennis, of Somerset,
tellers on the part of the House, to join the gentlemen who
had been appointed on the part of the Senate, and the said
tellers then proceeded to the Senate chamber for the purpose
of counting the ballots.

After an absence of some time, the tellers on the part of
the House returned, and reported that with the tellers on the
part of the Senate they had counted the ballots cast for Keep-
er of the Chancery Records, and that there were sixty-six bal-
lots cast in all; of which,

George W. Waters had received forty-five votes;
Lemuel Jones had received nineteen votes;
And there were two blank votes;

Whereupon, the Speaker declared George W. Waters duly
elected Keeper of the Chancery Records for the ensuing
term.

On motion of Mr. Morgan,         

The House adjourned until 7½ o'clock this evening.
