any increase of the rate of freights by the George's Creek
Coal and Iron company;

Referred to the committee on Corporations.

Mr. Legg presented a petition from the trustees of the
Church Hill Academy, asking for an additional donation;

Referred to the committee on Education.             

Mr. Linthicum presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Caroline and Dorchester counties, praying that a part of the
Fork district should be added to the Williamsburg district,
both districts being in Dorchester county;

Referred to the Dorchester county delegation.

Mr. Ford presented a petition from Eliza McFadden, to
have an act passed authorising the appeal tax court to hear
her appeal, from an assessment under act of 1858, chapter
241;

Referred to the committee on the Judiciary.
On motion of Mr. Miller,

Leave was granted the Cecil county delegation to introduce
a bill to change the boundary lines of District No. 3, in Cecil
county.

On motion of Mr. Landing,

Leave was granted the Worcester county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to refund certain moneys to Ambrose W.
Payne.

On motion of Mr. Maxwell,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to make valid a deed from Samuel Thomas
and Charlotte, his wife, Susan Thomas and Margaret Thomas
to James Gillespie.

On motion of Mr. Ford,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill for the relief of Eliza McFadden, by authorising
the appeal tax court of Baltimore city, to correct the valua-
tion of her property.

On motion of Mr. Ford,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill to correct the valuation of properly in the city of
Baltimore, and to extend the powers of appeal tax court for
that purpose.
