On motion of Mr. Dennis, of Somerset,

Leave was granted the Somerset county delegation to intro-
duce a bill entitled, a supplement to the act entitled, an act
to incorporate the Eastern Shore Railroad company, passed
at the session of 1853.

On motion of Mr. Dennis, of Worcester,

Leave was granted the Worcester county delegation to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an act to amend the 36th section of the
22d article of the code of public local laws, which fixes the
pay of the clerk of the county commissioners of Worcester
county, by increasing said pay.

Mr. Long, from the committee on Ways and Means, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to amend the
eighty-second article of the code of public general laws, by
exempting a certain amount of property from execution;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Welch, from a special committee, reported favorably
on the bill entitled, an act to amend the 7th section of article
93 of the code of public general laws, relating to the appoint-
ment by the Treasurer, of clerks to assist in the discharge of
his duties;                                                                       

Which was read the first time.                               

Mr. Mackubin, from the committee on Claims, reported
unfavorably on the Senate bill entitled, an act to refund to
Mary A. Cissell, widow of Zepheniah Cissell, a certain sum
of money;

Also, reported unfavorably on the petition from sundry
citizens of St. Mary's county, in the first election district of
said county, asking to be refunded certain amount of money
therein mentioned;                                                             

Also, reported unfavorably on the petition of Samuel
Scott;

Also, reported unfavorably on the petition of Madison
Brown, praying relief.

Mr. Chaplain, from the committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to provide for
general index of judgments in Queen Anne's county:

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Mackubin, from the committee on Claims, reported
