Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Adjutant General loan to the Annapolis Guards, commanded
by Col. William A. Spencer, a stand of muskets, with the
necessary accoutrements sufficient to equip the said company,
and take the receipts from Col. Spencer for the return of the
same, to be subject to be called in by the Adjutant General
at his discretion ;               

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Maxwell, from the committee on Corporations, report-
ed favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
Trustees of the Orphans' Home of Baltimore city ;

"Which was read the first time.

Mr. Ford, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the bill entitled, an act amendatory to an act entitled, an act
to incorporate the Towsontown Railroad company, passed
January session, 1858, chapter 372;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Mackubin, from a select committee, reported a bill
entitled, an act to incorporate the Curtis Creek Bridge com-
pany ;                                         

Which was read the first time, and referred to the com-
mittee on Corporations.

Mr. Claggett, from a select committee, reported a bill
entitled, an act to require the clerk of the Circuit court
for Frederick county, to make and prepare a general
index to the land records of Frederick county, from the com-
mencement of the term of William B. Tyler, clerk, to the ex-
piration of the term of Edward Shriver, clerk, inclusive ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Mackubin, from a select committee, reported a bill
entitled, an act for the benefit of the Baltimore City Protes-
tant Episcopal Missionary Committee ;

Which was read the first time.

The bill entitled, an act to amend the 24th article of the
code of public general laws, by amending the 19th section
relating to the recording of deeds, and by adding to said
article a new section, to make valid acknowledgments made
before commissioners ;

Was read the second time, and by special order the third
time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
