Mr. Harding offered the following order:

Ordered, That a committee of two be appointed, to request
His Excellency, the Governor, to cause the National Flag to be
displayed from the top of the State House steeple, and a national
salute to be fired on Monday the 9th day of January, in com-
memoration of the victory achieved by the American troops
commanded by General Jackson, over the British forces, on
the 8th of January, 1815, at New Orleans.

Which was adopted, and Messrs. Harding and Dennis, ap-
pointed as the committee under said order.

On motion,
The House adjourned until Monday, at twelve o'clock.
