The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes-

We herewith return to you the House bill authorising the
Comptroller to adjust and settle the accounts of the Inspec-
tors of Grain in the city of Baltimore for public action.

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to make valid the acts of Joseph P. Cantwell,
while acting as a magistrate in the 3rd election district of
Cecil county ;
