On motion of Mr. Medders,                                 

Leave was granted the Kent county delegation to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an act to authorise the Circuit court for
Kent county, to receive a petition from Daniel Jones and
appoint commissioners to divide certain real estate in Kent
county.

On motion of Mr. Freaner,                                         

Leave was granted the Washington county delegation to
introduce a bill to regulate the place of holding the elections
in Cavetown District, No 7 of Washington county.

On motion of Mr. Chaplain,

Leave was granted the committee on Inspections to intro-
duce a bill, to amend sections 462, 463, 464, 465, 466 and
467 of article 4 of the code of public local laws, relating to
inspectors and measurers of manures, sold by the cart-load
in Baltimore city.                                                   

On motion of Mr. Mackubin,

Leave was granted the committee on Claims to introduce a
bill, to compensate James T. Briscoe, for professional ser-
vices rendered the State, by appointment of the Governor of
this State, in the case of William Billingsley and others, in
the Court of Appeals.

Mr. Mackubin presented a petition from sundry citizens
of Anne Arundel county, against the repeal of any of the
laws now existing, prohibiting dredging for oysters;

Referred to the committee on Fish and Oysters.

By general consent, Mr. Mills obtained leave to withdraw
the leave which was granted the Baltimore county and Car-
roll county delegations, to bring in a bill to incorporate the
Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike Company ;

Mr. Maxwell presented a petition from the trustees of West
Nottingham Academy, protesting against the division of the
fund heretofore appropriated by the State, to that institution;

. Referred to the Cecil county delegation.

Mr. Stake presented a petition from sundry citizens of
Washington county, praying a law for the protection of game
in said county;

Referred to the Washington county delegation.

Mr. Maxwell presented the report of the trustees of the
West Nottingham Academy, of Cecil county;
