The Speaker laid before the House the following documents,
accompanying the message:

1.  Report on the Survey of the Boundary between Mary-
land and Virginia, by T. J. Lee, Commissioner.

2.  Report on the Condition of the Public Records, by E.
"Allen.

3.  Resolutions of the General Assembly of New York.

On motion of Mr. Harding,

The House resolved itself into committee of the whole, on
the resolution of Mr. Freaner, Mr. Mackubin in the chair.

After some time the Speaker resumed the chair, the com-
mittee rose, and Mr. Mackubin Chairman of the committee of
the whole House, reported the resolutions favorably.

Mr. Dennis of Somerset offered the following substitute for
the original Resolutions:

Resolved by the General Assembly, That Maryland's Sena-
tors William Pinckney and Edward Lloyd, and her Repre-
tatives in the National Congress, at the session of 1820, did
