26th article of the code of public general laws, which pro-
vides for the formation of corporations for the purchase, im-
provement, sale and leasing of land in the city of Baltimore,
by extending the provisions of the said sections to the whole
State.

On motion of Mr. Krafft,

Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary, to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an act to amend the 71st article of the
code of public general laws, by adding thereto, certain pro-
visions relating to the removal of causes.

On motion of Mr. Beall,

Leave was granted the Allegany county delegation to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Mount Clear
Coal Mining company of Allegany county.

On motion of Mr. Bayless,

Leave was granted the Harford county delegation to intro-
duce a bill, to authorise the county commissioners of Harford
county, to lay out and establish a public landing on the Sus-
quehanna river, at Lapidum or Bell's Ferry in said county.

Mr. Legg presented a memorial from sundry citizens of
Queen Anne's county, praying that the sureties of James
W. Story, may be released from the payment of interests on
judgments due the State;

Referred to the committee on Claims.
On motion of Mr. Mackubin,

Leave was granted the Anne Arundel county delegation to
introduce a bill, to make valid certain indentures therein
named.

On motion of Mr. Maxwell,

Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill, to incorporate the Merchants Hotel company of
Baltimore city.

On motion of Mr. Quinlan,

Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill, to authorise the commissioners of Baltimore
county, to furnish the register of wills of said county with
records books, and levy a sum of money to pay for the same.

Mr. Jones, of Prince George's, presented a memorial from
sundry citizens of Maryland, praying the passage of an act
affording relief from certain grievances therein named, and
for an act annuling the charter of the Baltimore and Wash-
ington Turnpike Road company.
