Ordered to be entered on the Journal and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.

Also, the report of the House of Refuge;

Mr. Miller moved to print three thousand copies for the
use of this House;

Mr. Chaplain moved to strike out "three" and insert
"one;"                                                                             

Which was concurred in.

Mr. Salmon presented a petition from William Lear and
twenty-eight other citizens of Frederick county, praying the
passage of an act to sell the primary school house No. 64, in
Frederick county;

Referred to the Frederick county delegation.

Mr. Bayless presented a petition from James Stephenson,
and one hundred and twenty others, for an act to authorise
the commissioners of Harford county to locate a public land-
ing on the Susquehanna river, at Lapidum, formerly called
Bell's Ferry;                                                                 

Referred to the Harford county delegation.

Mr. Jones, of Talbot, presented a memorial from L. Lari-
more, Hadaway Cummings and thirty-four others, praying
