Also a bill entitled, an act to provide for the per diem allow-
ance of the judges of the Orphan's Court of Frederick county,
and to regulate the mode of payment thereof.

Which was referred to Messrs. Brengle, Carper and Davis.

Mr. Askew submitted the following message, which was read
and adopted:

By the House of Delegates.

January 19th, 1856.

Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received the message from your Honorable body pro-
posing to constitute the standing committees on Printing of the
two Houses, a joint committee to contract for the printing of the
Laws of the present Session, subject to the ratification of the two
Houses, and concur therein.

The bill entitled, an act to refund to James Sparks of Queen
Anne's county, a certain amount of money.                   

Was called up for the third reading, when,           

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,                         

The further consideration of the bill was postponed till Tues-
day, 22d instant.

The bill entitled, "an act to enforce the payment of rent in the

city of Baltimore."                                                            

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
