808              JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 10,

A bill entitled, an act for the relief of David Marsh, of Carroll
county;                                                                   

A bill entitled, an act for the relief of William Nevitt, former
collector of Charles county;

A bill entitled, an act to increase the capital stock of the St.
Mary's Saving's Institution;

Severally endorsed "passed by yeas and nays."

And a bill entitled, an act to extend to the personal representa-
tives of Absalom Tennison, deceased, late Collector of Taxes in
Charles county, further time to complete his collections;         

1: Endorsed "rejected by yeas and nays."

On motion of Mr. Brengle,                 

The House adjourned until Monday morning at 9 o'clock, A. M.

MONDAY, March 10th, 1856:

The House met. Present at the call of the roll the following
members:

Messrs. Speaker, Plowden, Griffith, Dorsey, Neff, Waters,
Wilson, of Calvert, Dowell, Stone, Merrick, Chilcoat, Ran-
kin, Wright, Cullings, Heath, Clark, Roberts, Toadvine, Lawson,
Wilson, of Somerset, Daniel, Dail, Frazier, Thomas, Scott,
Stubbs, Miller, Brooke, Bowie, Bowling, Goldsborough, Rolph,
Timmons, Brengle, Davis, Carper, Grove, Hauver, Wolfe,
Duvall, Jarret, Silver, Whitby, Stack, Kennedy, Partridge, Smith
of Balt. city, Abbott, Valiant, Lester, Hugg, Askew, Harring-
ton, Fiery, Witmer, Reichard, Loughridge, Corby, Harding,
Hall, Tower, Wickes, Brown, Smith, of Carroll, Buffington,
Stewart and Rowles.

Mr. Stone, from the select committee, reported favorably on a
Senate bill entitled, an act to regulate fisheries in the waters of
the Patuxent river, and to protect the breed of fish therein.

Mr. Lester, from the committee on Inspections, reported back
to the House the petition of Mason L. Weems and others, in re-
lation to wharfage paid.
