The House met. Present at the call of the roll the following
members:

Messrs. Speaker, Plowden, Harris, Dorsey, Neff, Dowell,
Stone, Chilcoat, Rankin, Wright, Cullings, Roberts, Wilson, of
Somerset, Dail, Scott, Stubbs, Miller, Brooke, Goldsborough,
Rolph, Brengle, Davis, Carper, Wolfe, Duvall, Jarrett, Silver,
Whitby, Kennedy, Partridge, Abbott, Valiant, Lester, Hugg, Har-
rington, Fiery, Reichard, Loughridge, Corby, Harding, Hall,
Tower, Wickes, Brown, Smith, of Carroll, Buffington, Stewart,
Bowie, Rowles.

Mr. Davis offered the following order:                   

Ordered, That John Sullivan be appointed to take charge of
the Half of the House of Delegates, under the direction of the
Chief Clerk of the House.

Mr. Silver Chairman of the Committee on Corporations re-
ported the following bills:

An act to incorporate the Potomac Iron and Bridge Company.

An act an additional supplement to the act entitled, an act in-
corporating the Master and Wardens of Clinton Lodge number
83, of the free and accepted Masons, for the purpose therein men-
tioned, passed at December session 1826, chapter 143.

An act amendatory of an act passed at January session 1854,
chapter 109, entitled, an act to alter and amend the charter of
the Hagerstown Savings Institution by allowing its corporate
name to be changed and to discount foreign bills of exchange.

A bill entitled, an act amendatory of an act to incorporate the
Baltimore Steam Packet Company by authorising said Company
make contracts for breaking tracks through the ice.

A bill entitled, an act to continue the corporate powers of the
