Whereupon the said Frederick W. Jones complied with the re-
quirements of said order;

And was released from custody.                              

On motion of Mr. Heath,

The rules were suspended to allow him to report favorably on
a bill entitled, an act for the benefit of the Academies and Schools
of Anne Arundel county.                                                             

Mr. Wickes moved the House be called.                          

On motion of Mr. Wickes,         

The door-keeper was sent after the absent members.
On motion of Mr. Valiant,           

The House took up the bill entitled, an act for the benefit of
Catharine Wister, widow of Robert Pratt, a soldier of the Mary-
land line 'during the Revolution;

Was read the second time; three-fourths of the members con-
curring,             

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
lows:
